Sending hyperlinks in E-mail
ΓÇó You can include Gopher, FTP, Web, Usenet and E-mail addresses as hyperlinks within an E-mail message.
ΓÇó When you type the addresses, you will not see them appear as hyperlinks. However, if the recipient of your E-mail message is using Netscape Navigator, they will see the addresses as hyperlinks.
To include Gopher, FTP and Web addresses in your E-mail messages:
ΓÇó Enter the first part of their identifier, a colon, two slashes, and the name of the site.
For example:
gopher://gopher.simply.com
ftp://ftp.simply.com
http://www.simply.com
To include E-mail and Usenet addresses as hyperlinks in your E-mail messages:
ΓÇó E-mail addresses need to have the word mailto (no spaces), followed by a colon, and then the personΓÇÖs actual E-mail address, with no spaces in between the words and symbols.
For example:
mailto:url@simply.com
ΓÇó Usenet addresses need to have the word news followed by a colon, and then the actual newsgroup address, with no spaces in between the words and symbols.
